Paying off a single transaction on a non-Monzo credit card?

This might be a dumb question, but is there a way to pay off a single transaction on a credit card? I opened a new Natwest 0% card and have been using it to stooze, but I noticed a (very small) interest charge of £0.04 today. I looked into it, and the 0% is only on purchases (makes sense) and when I bought a bottle of whisky from Germany last month, apparently I was charged a £3.31 foreign currency conversion fee (not a purchase…). Obviously 4p/month is not a big deal, but it did make me curious whether I could call Natwest up and pay off that specific transaction if I asked? Has anyone done something similar?

You can make a payment to it via the app or bank transfer and it would get applied to any balances costing you money first. Should be explained on the statement. So in this example it would get allocated to that transaction. It isn’t something they’d specifically be able to allocate, it’s just how it works anyway.

On my Barclaycard I had a 0% balance transfer but sometimes use it for other purchases if there’s cashback offers. Usual advice is not to use cards with balance transfers for purchases, but you can do it if you know how the payment terms work and pay it off correctly. As long as a payment is made after the statement with those transactions is generated (i.e. after they’ve asked you to pay for them) the payment gets allocated to those purchases first, so there’s still no interest.

Apparently with my NatWest card though, which I had to use to pay for parking as Apple Pay didn’t work, if there’s a balance transfer on the card you lose the standard up to 56 days 0% on purchases, so I got charged interest on it unexpectedly.
