A bit of common sense

That’s fair enough, and not entirely out of step with how many other places have dealt with things - see also, Disney/WB adding warning screens to the start of presentations of old cartoons going back as far as when they were released on DVD. (I much prefer a “This feature represents attitudes of the time that are not acceptable now” warning to simply presenting something as is).

Equally, there are cases where there may be some time needed to elapse before things are made available with warnings, so I can’t argue with other streaming services dropping certain things if they feel that’s necessary (BBC removing certain parts of Lucas/Walliams oeuvre, as I recall). Sometimes something is still too raw and does need to be removed from circulation for a bit. (Hell, to give something of a personal example, I loved League of Gentlemen when it was first broadcast, but the blackface and some of the trans stuff plays really badly now.)

tl;dr, content doesn’t always need to be removed, but should be placed in context where appropriate

Yep, ad-free, unlike the USA which has 2 different tiers.

Ive just had q quick look and there is more on here than I thought there would be.

And there does seem to be at least one Channel 5 show on here (a documentary) so I hope they continue to take adventage of those C5 shows.

From having a search for many of their bigger movie franchises, i can see why they kinda avoided mentioning them in their marketing. For example, for Mission impossible, it only has a few of the films. It would be wrong to go big with Mission Impossible in their adverts but not have most of the films.

I assume they will make a bigger deal of them when they get the rights to more films.

Yep. I was able to start Star Trek Strange New Worlds.

I think its only available on certain devices at the moment. I can currently get it on my Android phone and my Fire TV stick.

As I’m a pirate I’m fully up to date with it, worth watching, even if it does introduce new technology which isn’t ever used in any other part of the franchise based in the future.

ugh… 1080p and a maximum of DD 2.0 is really noticeable.- the audio especially compared to Disney+ which is at 4k + Atmos level on loads of stuff now.

It actually makes more sense to pirate something like Halo so you get a better version…

I honestly couldnt care less. As long as it is warchable, it can probably be whatver quality it wants to be.

Yeah the quality basically rules it out for me for now, the same as NowTV.

They have the Star Trek reboot first film on there but not the other 2 :imp:

I’m worried about the new Star Trek series as I really didn’t get on with Discovery.

I will brace myself and try it this week.
