the point of my story is this another reason why banks must do what they do

Well to be honest it’s not surprising Monzo has had some bad press! They can come across as very arrogant and seem not to care attitude if you have a issue or genuine concern the way things work with Monzo. Sometimes it has taken them 3-4 days on “live chat” (er obviously not) to get back?
Have a grievance about how I log in on my iOS phone it takes me to my email and from there I hit the “magic” button only then to enter my private pin! 3 stages of hoop an loops but all I get back is there is a software issue with no foreseeable fix date !!

If you tap on the help (? Bubble) bottom right of home page this takes you to help page. Scrolling to bottom you can tap chat with us for live keyboard communication :thinking::joy:

So it’s fixed now for you to get that screenshot?

Got a screen grab of that? Never seen the app say that before.

I can log in but it’s a lengthy process compared to say face recognition on my other banks app.
With Monzo I open app- type email- sends me link - I open my email - tap link button to log in but it goes to pin security page - enter pin & finally I am logged in :roll_eyes:

Don’t log out then. There’s no need to.

Let me know when you find that live chat text.

No it doesn’t say that it’s my description only :laughing:

The PIN is a newly implemented part of SCA, to keep your account safe when you log in. The app is designed that you don’t log out

Cheers for that … always thought logging out was a secure part of online banking :face_with_monocle::white_check_mark::+1:

This is app based banking. It’s different. It secured behind the lock on your phone, whereas desktop based banking isn’t.

Nope

You can lock the app so you need pin or biometric every time you open it if you wish, or just make sure your phone is locked

Money can’t be moved out without PIN or biometric to authorise so it’s safe

As you’re on iOS you can able enable FaceID/TouchID at app launch.

So we’ve solved the login issue and discovered live chat is something assumed and not known.

We should work for Monzo conflict resolution @walderston at @Rat_au_van
