Not wildly impressed but I’m sure it’ll grow on me. Else I may just keep calling it Mondo, as long as the legal bit is sorted on your end I don’t see why not! Or maybe a pet name… Monzi, Monzils, Monzinkus, Monzofalus, Monzoonie, Munzoes. My Monzoes Monies. Actually it’s kinda growing on me already!

My allegiance remains with Monzo but not sure about the name. Can we require article 50 to be triggered before proceeding with this?

As I said on Facebook. I feel like I’m Gonzos brother out of the Muppetts. The fact many made the same comparison justifies my utter disappointment. I think we should have all been allowed to vote on a shortlist! My idea was MORE! I googled it & no other companies use MORE! or MOREBANK! Can’t believe. We have no real day on card colour, choice of card colour, I feel like we really deserved a vote on a shortlist as we are supposed to be a community bank? Still when I’m abroad it’s the only card I will use… I’m a little less optimistic than I was yesterday

No but Royal Sun Alliance (RSA) have used MORE TH>N as part of their branding for quite a while now.

Sounds like it should be the name of a big cuddly purple bear featured on childrens TV

This feels like a half hearted rebrand tbh. If you’re going to rebrand, rebrand properly and drop the original name.

Like most on here, I’m attached/accustomed to the name Mondo - BUT the real test would be, several months down the road, to ask Monzo card holders that have never known the name Mondo whether we should change the name from Monzo to Mondo!
I bet there would be similar howls of protest and objections … so let’s all move on and embrace the journey with enthusiasm.

I really want to like it but I don’t. At all.
I was proud to say I bank with Mondo (and have a reputation for talking about it at every opportunity) but Monzo is… embarrassing.
It’s not a thing, doesn’t suggest a verb and doesn’t sound global/universal. It just sounds lame. I also thought immediately of the Muppets and Gonzo journalism. But neither helps.
I love Mondo and really hate writing something so negative. I just wish we’d been given a vote.
