I have a payment pending to a hotel in Portugal. They’re asking for payment in euros and last year i incurred a non sterling transaction fee, just wondering if anyone knows if i was to use my Monza card whether I would expect to have a similar charge to pay?

Nope there’s no foreign transaction fees when using your Monzo card to pay in any currency (including Euros).
They use the Mastercard Exchange rate with no markup so it’s almost the best rate you can get

Just make sure when paying, you ask that the card is charged in euros. Some card machines overseas will attempt to charge you in your ‘local’ currency, but they do this by giving a very bad exchange rate.
