Well from £300 the 58 is +£88, premium with the 73 +£135. I don’t know if I could justify that monthly
Basically another £47 each month to go LR
I’ll check again in two years and start planning on what EV to go for 
we start seeing some cheaper cars appearing in 2024

It’s the matte finish that she loves most of all.
The Teal is brilliant in the sunshine but looks a bit more dull in our normal weather.
So, Gridserve have announced some price increases 
‘Medium’ Powered Chargers (up to 60kW) price increase from 30p to 39p per kWh
‘High’ Powered Chargers (up to 350kW) at their Electric Hubs (ie Rugby Services) is 45p per kWh
‘Electric Forecourt’ charging (ie Braintree) is 39p per kWh as they’re got on site generation and batteries there.
I’m not sure if they’re already charging 45p per kWh for the up to 350kW chargers? If so, it’s just really a price increase in the 60kWh pricing.

Yeah the main story here is the 50kW going 30>39p which I think everyone expected to match others and with home tariffs set to be ~30p in few months when the cap increases.
They only have one 100kW in the UK and the two 350kW locations you mentioned Rugby/Braintree. Obviously they’ll be putting more live this year.

Dug it on Sunday, and got a cancellation on Monday which was a bit flukey
That white cable (that is actually red/orange underground) was the existing garage, only about 20cms below the surface and completely unshielded 
The new cable pretty much invisible, just clipped along the lower wall out of site. They guy did an ace job and nothing to pay.

I can’t tell what charger that is from the image, but does it have built-in PEN fault detection?
Curious, as there isn’t a visible earth rod installed near the charger (connecting the charger to a dedicated earth point) to ensure it isn’t connected to the house earth to stop possible upstream errors (fallen trees on pylons) which may cause an unknown/undetected situation with your house electricity supply which results in the touchable metal shell of your car becoming live

If I didn’t have that for free I would have gone Hypervolt. Technically the Indra is safest overall.
With built in state-of-the-art pen protection, Hypervolt chargers do not require an Earth Rod to be installed. Faster, cheaper, and much safer!

The zappi does too but looks too much like a toilet seat.
zappi is the only EV charger with built-in PEN fault technology. It’s the safest choice for an electric car charger, eliminating the need to install additional earth rods means no extra costs & an easy install.
They need to update that text to was the only.
This is the other one that I’ve seen installed on Artisan Electrics YouTube that requires no earth rod.
Looks fancy, costs a fancy amount too.

Only asking because they are one of the companies whose startup shares I bought a long time ago and I have no idea how they are doing.

Yeah I’ve watched a few videos from Artisan Electrics who do a watch along. Some of the wiring bits are interesting but overall clickbaity nonsense.
Anyway yeah they look ace and can be fully customised to match your property style. Over a grand and that’s with the £350 grant off!
Id imagine they are doing very well.

Not good news if you have to rely on public charging 
Our council doesn’t even offer paid charging, let alone free 
Our council tax is well over two grand a year and they still charge extra for emptying brown bins.
Council are next to useless regarding EV charging and adoption (and anything to be honest)
Based on value for money the council tax should be priced at £60 a year (or five pound a month for collecting the green/blue bins 
)

That particular story has had a lot of flack for being incorrect.
Specifically, the point about in the Cotswold being charged £4 per kWh - which is completely wrong. That council responded to an FoI request and said it was £4 an hour to park and charge. Not £4 per kWh and no-one thought to double check that.
Most (all?) rapid chargers generally have nationwide pricing so there isn’t that much difference at that level.
The biggest difference is mostly between those with off street parking that they can install their own home chargers, and those that can’t have that. Which does add to the inequality between those who are generally more affluent and so can afford a bigger house, with garden/parking and so can also charge cheaper and those in smaller homes/inner city places who don’t have that, and then also have to pay to charge at commercial chargers.

I must admit, that is problem I have.
I did seriously look into and EV because I don’t really use my car that much, but at current prices, (purchase, charging, etc) the numbers just don’t add up at the moment.
