Just let the wife set it up unless you need to be in control?
Don’t joint accounts have equal control for both parties?
They do, I meant to set it up when someone else could just as easy set it up
I wish Natwest would make the Nectar Credit Card available for everyone.
Take it as you wish but it wasn’t meant in that way. Some just like to make sure they do it, but in reality it doesn’t matter who can do it as long as it’s done, and you don’t seem to want your wife to do it for some odd unknown reason.
Leave your account dormant, wife opens account and sets up joint account, your life’s troubles are solved.
I am also on NatWest “do not touch” list. Can confirm requesting manual doesn’t do anything ![]()
No one with eyes had anything to do with that design.
It is absolutely woeful isn’t it lol.
Since when? I’ve never had to visit a branch to open an HSBC account.
Opening a second account you do.
OK, well I’ve never seen the need to have more than one current account with the same bank (apart from a joint).
one can open a HSBC Global Money Account as a 2nd account via the app, not even a soft credit check. Only caveat is it doesn’t support direct debits.
Yes, they changed them when The Open started.
Thought it was the HSBC chat ![]()
I didn’t notice either ![]()
That wouldn’t really make sense anyway.
True, but I guess if you just wanted an account to spend on a separate debit card it would work. Especially as it’s a different design.
Back to NatWest, I noticed that it’s only NatWest offering the Defined Access Saver. I was hoping to open one with RBS to keep my relationship with them open* once I’d CASSed this Select account out, but RBS doesn’t offer the Defined Access Saver.
*So it’s easier for me to apply for a Select account when they run their next CASS offer.
