I’ve just installed the latest app update on iOS and NatWest now has the new design.
They have also tidied up the Rewards section.

Yes, that was the fix, my bad
Each time these things come up I wish my mum, who worked for NatWest back in the day and had the full set, didn’t throw them out as “clutter”.
Sadly 7 year old me in the early 90s didn’t appreciate what appreciation was.
£52 seems to be the going rate, apparently
I hope in a future iOS app release, NatWest will allow the virtual cards to have a different colour.
NatWest does like to be contradictory, don’t they? They claim if you freeze your card physically then it also freezes the card in wallet which it does not.
They also claim it sets a payment limit which again it does not
If I freeze my NatWest card, I do not get a notification from Wallet to say that my card will not work like it does with my Monzo card
Which leads me to believe that it would work fine even after freezing the contactless payments on the app
It turns out there are two ways of doing it if you click the big freeze button then it does indeed turn off Apple Pay but if you go into the card controls and then turn off contactless payment it does not turn off Apple Pay even though they claim it does
Okay, it does what it says on the tin and I was wrong yesterday. While it doesn’t turn off Apple Pay, it just disabled it at the bank end, I will try a contactless payment but since it seems to be working the way it’s intended I don’t think it’ll go through. I have to go to Tesco anyway so I might as I’ll try it.
Revolut also functions like this iirc and a few others
Which is fair, I don’t think they need to disable the card because you turn off accepting Apple Pay usage.
To begin with, you may be doing it for a reason temporarily
It does work as advertised, actually interesting. I didn’t think you could block Apple Pay as it’s an authorised purchase
It’s still authorised by the bank and the use of Apple Pay has to be approved by your bank.
