It does work as advertised, actually interesting. I didn’t think you could block Apple Pay as it’s an authorised purchase
It’s still authorised by the bank and the use of Apple Pay has to be approved by your bank.

Does anyone know how long it takes for MyRewards to disappear from the accounts list in the app, after changing account type from Reward to Select?

Mine went within a couple of days, in fact I hadn’t noticed it was gone, seemingly as soon as the last money I transferred from it arrived.
Ah that may be why. I’ve got a quid pending! I’ll wait for that to be in the MyRewards balance and withdraw the remaining. Hopefully that then triggers the closure of MyRewards
If you changed account type before you redeemed, it will disappear in thin air.
Been there twice with RBS and NatWest.
Takes a few days from account change for the rewards section to be removed
I maybe wrong as others have said it went in days, but I’m sure mine stayed active for around 28-30 days after I downgraded to Select.
Edit - looks like 90 days but only over the phone.
I changed last week - and still it’s there!
Why are you all changing from Reward accounts?
They are tired of the £3 net benefit

Don’t use NatWest for my direct debits anymore. So what’s the point in paying for an account that I don’t need? Don’t wish to close it, so down to Select for free. £2 a month with £1 back if you use the app
Better off with Santander direct debit cashback

At least they’ve renamed the section in the app to “MyRewards & MyBenefits”.
The inconsistent capitalisation previously was really irking me.
I’m not doing too badly with my Rewards balance, given I’m only 3 months in…
Perhaps I’m being dim but where is the cheque deposit function in the NatWest app? I’ve looked all over the app and can’t see it.
DVLA cheque has arrived for a VED refund and I’d rather not visit a branch.
Pay tab > deposit cheque? As if you were paying someone I guess.

Three dots in the top right of the account and then select Deposit Cheque from the list

That’s what I also found on Google, but nothing is appearing for me. Perhaps the feature isn’t enabled for my account or something. I’ll send them a message on chat.
