Make sure you get info from all the CRA’s and if need be submit an SAR to CIFAS so you can make sure all your information is up to date and there’s no hidden surprises. I’ve read of a lot of people with poor credit been accepted by Starling or as stupid as it sounds, it could be one of those things that your profile just doesn’t match the set algorithim.

All is up to date bar the defaulted company not updating on Equifax or Callcredit, I’ve raised disputes. They updated Experian pretty quickly.

According to my reports, I’m on no CIFA’s, I’m going to do the national hunter one soon.

I had the email saying card had been delayed then just got a email with a ups tracking no for my card coming from Germany and will be here Wednesday

It’s incredibly frustrating, especially when Starling don’t have a stated appeals process like many high street banks where they’ll take another look at declined applications.

Is it just me who finds it hilarious that N26 use UPS to deliver the card…the laughable side also being it’s taking longer than Monzos Royal Mail first class

You can tell they are a foreign company just on that basis and tbh it stinks of poor customer service and being expensive to manage. I wonder how sustainable that all makes it and I see why they have the packaged accounts (although I would love Monzo to offer packages accounts at some point)

Im actually surprised they dont use DHL or DPD… or Hermes :rofl::rofl::rofl:… The Germans really do love their own things…

If this was automated decision-making using your personal data (which it almost certainly was…), you may be able to request under GDPR rules that the decision is reviewed by a human on the grounds under article 22(1), or at least that they allow you to check that the data used is accurate.

On the old Starling forum RIP, there was talk of automating the subject access request, so I wonder what happened to that…

Registered yesterday, not been approved yet. My photo is quite old on my licence so I’m unsure if they’ll accept?

I used my drivers licence and didn’t know what to put as it’s document number when asked?

I tried the long number on the front (like giffgaff ask for) and the app said it was too long? I just entered 1 in the end. :stuck_out_tongue:

It should be the 16-character licence number on the front. You can usually ignore the last two digits after the space.

Not very user friendly; giffgaff asked for the lot and had a good explanation and N26 just ask for a document number with no explanation.

Thanks @danmullen if/when they decline I’ll know what to type next time. :grinning:

I suppose with expansion this can happen but it’s not looking great so far. I remain open minded :slight_smile:

Just curious, what are people after with N26? To move to them from Monzo or just to give them ago and see what there like?

I’m sick of my day to day bank transfers e.g. to and from my other accounts, to and from my partner, etc. leaving me with a long list of transactions, so I don’t just get a simple list of card spend, like a credit card.

N26 might be great for the card spend, even with its current limited features.

Where does it show the delivery status on the app can’t see it in mine.
