Dead or alive fo sho
Hey Tom
So do you get your salary in Monzo now and what High Street bank account you still use or keep for those ‘just in case’ situations
How did it feel having to change from Mondo to Monzo?
Which big problem should banks address, which they don’t currently?
It seems that many of the other ‘challenger banks’ offer many of the same features as Monzo.
Aside from the advantage of being one of the early ‘challenger banks’, how do you aim to make Monzo stand out from the crowd in the future?
Imagine for a moment that we’re 10 years from now and Monzo hasn’t succeeded. What, in your mind, is the single most likely reason for this happening?
Thanks, all!
I think we’ve quite possibly already got far too many questions than Tom has time to answer, so I’m going to lock the thread until Friday
Ooh, the thread’s open. Looking forward to some @anon91821566 action!

I’m concerned that the important pineapple on pizza question hasn’t been asked
It’s a standing agenda item, surely? (I’m happy to offer my opinion if Tom gets timed out on it
)
Oh goodness. Quick, relock the thread!

I’ve just realised I’m now the kind of person who gets excited at bank app updates and a bank CEO answering questions.
Monzo, you’ve changed me, and I’m not sure if I like it
5:56AM?
Do you and Ann Boden ever meet up for a coffee? And if so, do you have a bit of a giggle?
Open the tweet it shows UK time, no idea why it’s wrong here
Here we go guys!!

It varies a lot, which is part of the fun.
I don’t really have a routine, but my time is normally split between;
- Meeting with my team-leads and attending team meetings to catch up on progress of key projects
- Hiring/Interviewing/Meeting candidates. We’ve got a lot of open roles right now.
- Press interviews
- Meeting with investors - both existing shareholders and potential future investors.
- Talking with the regulators
I normally travel abroad about once a month for work.
I’ve recently started exercising more regularly, which make a big difference to my day.
