I don’t think Monzo would ever call their card “orange”
Seems weird… @cookywook or @anon50039658 ?
Agreed. Seems odd as we all know it as “hot coral”. It does look convincing though.
I am not aware of any Monzo ambassadors at the Uni I work at.
Surely you can just tap on the name at the top to see the email address?
its a legit seeming address: holly@campusindustries.co.uk
was the first thing i checked.
Monzo wouldn’t call their cards orange but as stated above just click the name and it should show the email address it was sent from. I’m presuming it’s something stupid like monzostudentamb@gmail.com
Old assets, poor graphics and we’d never call our card “jazzy orange”. This doesn’t seem likely to be from us.
I’ve escalated on the off-chance that it’s some kind of unlaunched tech demo from a potential future growth thing, but unless you hear otherwise please treat this as suspect. If it is something we’ve discussed partnerships with then they shouldn’t be sending out emails without clearing the copy etc so I am very suspicious.
@nathanthomson8 Please DM me with more screenshots of the email including the contact details.
Update:
This is a company we will be working with in the New Year, but none of the above had been approved, neither the website, the assets used nor the copy, and they definitely shouldn’t have been sending out emails or promoting this link in any kind of way yet
Growing pains, but thankfully nothing sinister. Just some crossed wires. Thanks all for bringing this to our attention
They were taking liberties perhaps!!
So if my girlfriend where to apply… that would be pointless? @simonb
