Has to be payments tab, surely?
Especially now that in order to transfer funds to/ from a hidden pot, you have to unhide, transfer, re hide (unless you use salary sorter). Not great UX…

If a pot is hidden, will a standing order or Salary Sorter to the hidden pot still work?

That would be a tricky balance to get right.
It would need to be visible to be able to add money to it but too much visibility and it would defeat the purpose as you’d see the name and be reminded 
I guess it would need an ‘add money to pot’ button that shows the same interface as the salary sorter. This is just a list of pots, including hidden ones, without seeing any balances.
Yeah that would work too. Pot to Pot might be a bit of a longwinded way as you’d need to move it from your main balance, to a pot that isn’t hidden and then into your hidden one. It would then mess up your records.
Although on the plus side we’d get two new features in one go

I mean technically it already had been before your comment, but In all seriousness what other way could you solve the issue? Judging by @robinb poll it’s a pretty even split either way so surely a way of letting a user choose is the best way forward?
Great to see this in labs. Is it just me or is the edit button way too prominent?

At the moment it’s 52% to 48% in favour of showing it. Surely that’s a massive majority and those opposing the view should be vilified in the press for daring to hold their own opinions?

If I were going to make it switchable, I’d do it as an attribute of the pot itself rather than a top-level thing that applies to all the hidden totals.
Personally, I can’t see a circumstance for hiding pots in my usage so this is all a bit theoretical for me but that’s not the point.
