I won’t be using this for my monthly bills, Summary has me covered for those, but I have a pot I pay into monthly for my big annual costs (car insurance, contents insurance etc) which this will work well for.

So does it mean that DDs paid by your bills pot will still appear in the statement for you main account?
I was hoping this feature would take that information out of my main statement. ie I was hoping for my main account to just show a monthly payment into my bills pot then all the details to appear in pots transaction history. I realise I may be unusual for wanting this.

On new nav:

  • Click your profile picture
  • Click the cog icon (top right)
  • Click settings (top right)
  • Scroll right to the bottom and you’ll see labs
  • Find it in the list and click to enable

Does this not work with Klarna?

I have Klarna as a direct debit in my scheduled payments but I’ve just tried to pay for something and it has come out of my main balance, even though I have assigned it a pot to come out of.

Any ideas?

Do you mean that you want to be able to schedule payments from Main Balance to pots? If so, you can already do this.

The fact you’ve just tried to pay for something, suggests that this wasn’t a Direct Debit (or I could be misunderstanding)? The minimum processing time for a Direct Debit is 5 days - did you use Klarna, to pay by card? Regardless of other Direct Debits that you have associated with a pot for a merchant, card transactions will not come out of a pot unless you use IFTTT or roll your own.

Yes this had confused me, I couldn’t see how it could be a direct debit as with Klarna the idea is you pay when you want, but thought I’d give it a try, it must be listed incorrectly.

IFTTT wouldn’t work either I am assuming as it can only move a designated amount and can’t read amounts from my transaction feed.

Nah. I’m meaning a method that auto calculates the amount needed to be transferred. Once the pot calculates how much is spent per month it’s not a big step to add a button that allows you to set up a scheduled transaction from the main balance to cover it.

I’ve only used Klarna once (on a split into 3, no interest thing) but it was a recurring card payment when that happened, not a DD.

There seems to be a bug, at least under new navigation, for Bills Pot on new Android 2.65.0 version @jackcully @SimonAmor

(Edit: @davidwalton has this for unlocked Bill Pot as well)

Selecting Edit for my locked Bills Pot gives an uninitialised page:

This is not a problem for all other pot types, locked or otherwise
