Trying to get the app on my daughter’s iPhone 7 but when scanning the QR code I get ‘no usable data found’ on the QR code. Scanning with another more recent phone works fine. Note for others, you need the app installed on the phone first before scanning the QR code. :+1:t2:

Ah, I think my app updated to 5.87.0 on 14 August - a few days before I tried to open the accounts so that probably explains it!

I just reinstalled on version 5.86.1 but that didn’t seem to help. I’m still getting to the same stage of the flow and the + icon still doesn’t reveal kids accounts for me.

Not a big deal, I’ll just wait a little longer until it’s properly rolled out :+1:

Monzo staff don’t frequent the forum, so it may take a while.

Did you sign up in app or via a Google forms link?

The Google forms users are ‘pre beta’ and should have received an invite by now, it you signed up in the app then you have to wait until they roll it out to you.

What’s the accounts look like in the app? Are they under the adults accounts or at the bottom where savings and investments are?

You can have it as a main account ‘card’ or down in the ‘accounts’ section.

It’s the same app but it’s heavily restricted.

Yeah, they pretty much only get the view see when you tap on your main Monzo account with pots at the bottom

It would be nice if there was a way to teach the kids about compound interest by allowing interest bearing pots.

And allowing them to see the effects of variable interest when the rate changes, such as on the adult ones today.

Does anyone know when those who signed up to the waitlist on the app, rather than early community access, will get access? My kids are pestering me daily :joy:

Although great start, would be good if both parents where able to access and manage the kids accounts and be able to add money to them.
