This feels like such a non Nintendo thing to do 
I’ve always loved how they’ll do so many free updates and not default to mircrotransactions in their games. Particularly Mario Kart!
… that being said I’ll probably still play it haha

That’s really annoying. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this game and would more than happy pay outright for it.

Anyone else playing? I’ve become rather obsessed. And I’ve not had to pay for any microtransactions. I’ve obtained quite a selection of characters, karts and gliders just from earning rubies and coins in the game.
Apparently multiplayer is coming soon, and unlike the first beta test, you don’t need the Gold Pass (paid) to play it in the second test. Looking forward to it.
