I think it would be a really useful improvement to the Bills Pot experience if the scheduled payments that contribute towards the ‘Left to pay’ figure were highlighted on the Scheduled Payments screen.
Currently, when you tap on ‘Left to pay’ (e.g. £336.84 until 21 October), you’re taken to a screen showing all your upcoming scheduled payments. However, there’s no visual indication of which payments have been included in that total.
It would be great if Monzo could introduce a simple visual indicator to distinguish the payments that are still outstanding within the current period from those that aren’t included in the calculation.
For example:
- A small tick, marker or icon next to payments included in the ‘Left to pay’ total.
- Alternatively, a subtle highlight or different background colour for those payments.
This would make it much easier to understand how the ‘Left to pay’ figure has been calculated, see exactly which bills are still due before the end of the period, and reconcile the total against the individual scheduled payments.
It’s a relatively small UI change, but I think it would add a lot of clarity and transparency to an already really useful feature.
