No idea why that was fl4gged.

I missed BoS the last time they had one. I guess we may not see another one from them. It is HSBC not yet on my portfolio

Edit: I have checked BoS haven’t had any switch offers I guess I confused it with RBS back then.

I think I’ve got around 45-47 between myself and P2 over the last 7.5 years (lost track of those that paid in points not cash). Do I get a prize?

Yeah I’m on that list as well….

I was charged £5 Club Lloyds fee today despite paying in £2k+ in February.

Do they take the fee out and pay it back a few days later?

Fee is taken second working day and I believe refunded the next if applicable.

It will be refunded next working day, usually mine happen on the same day few of them happened on different days.

Let me hope the transfers didn’t come from your other Lloyds accounts in your name or joint.

Edit: I have seen mine is also now showing but sure the refund will be there tomorrow. Nothing to worry about

They were all external.

Luckily I left Ā£5 in the account - I just assumed they wouldn’t take the fee at all if you met the Ā£2k requirement. Good to know.

It is weird. They do the same with the £15 for Premier.

Easy way to sort it is to get an overdraft of £50 to cover it for those times when you forget to leave enough money in the account.

They can probably use the numbers to brag that they saved their customers X amounts in fees or we refunded our customers x thousands in fees.

You will have them like this every month.

They do show Premier fee refund in the premier rewards and benefits section as savings this year.

Same in the rewards section.

We shall soon see a big news headline that Lloyds customers saved millions in fees.

I miss the Lloyds days of the Avios duo cards, getting 1.5 Avios per £1 that you balance transferred over, at 0% fee - pay off, repeat.

How about them saving a few quid by not sending out your PIN in the post seeing as it’s visible in the app?

I’d go one further and say banks shouldn’t send out physical cards by default now, only if one is requested.

Half the accounts I have open are for the included benefits, I’ll never use the card, and if I did I’d just add it to Apple Pay.

Obviously that would require Lloyds to fix their Apple Pay issues first…

Cards should also be on request. I have lots of plastic that has never left the house.
It is for that reason I don’t have a Revolut physical card. That also saved me the fee.

I think for high street banks, an option in the app to say you don’t want a card could work. I’ve got a lot of family members who just don’t do app banking / Apple Pay. My dad only just got a smart phone and doesn’t have/want to use online banking. My grandad, who recently just passed away didn’t even have the internet. For app only/first banks to opt in for a card might be more suitable.

I agree there should be an option, I’ve also seen banks stop sending cards if they’re not used.

I wouldn’t want to rely only on my phone to make payments, especially in an emergency. Even though google pay is my default option having a physical card as a backup is handy in case anything ever happened to my phone, like lost, stolen, ran out of battery, software bug, etc.
