Quick question. Is it normal for the Lloyds to not charge the fee? I’ve had my Club Lloyds for over a month, and I found it strange that Lloyds hasn’t tried to take the £3 account fee.
I should add that I do not qualify for the fee waiver

I think they give the first 30 days in your cancellation period “free”. I had a friend ask the same recently.
I also had a similar issue with Nationwide Flexplus, I opened account October 2, First payment was taken in December
That’s easily avoided with some faff - you can ping smaller amounts in and out a few times each month until you “pay in” the required £2000
I have a set up that feeds all the accounts that have a requirement for the pay in, all automated by weekly standing orders. That £500 is making me more returns than I would ever get from interest.
But with 4 different platforms offering no fees, other than either fx or fund percentage fees, you could avoid paying £36 a year.
Yes that’s true but I can live with that for the convenience of having it in the bank.
It is rather cheap but I’m not really a fan of the ready made investments mixed funds. Having a look at the Lloyd’s (well Scottish Widows) one just now it’s over 15% UK investments which whether you like it or not it’s certainly not reflective of the size of the UK market.
Guessing this has already been discussed, but looks like you may be able to book holidays through Lloyds at some point.
Halifax have just sent me a very confusing update on my credit card terms.
Changed the name of the “non sterling transaction fee” to “non sterling purchase fee”. It then lists it at 2.95%, says they may charge it in the booklet, but then says they will no longer charge it when using your card for cash transactions in a foreign currency.
So what’s the difference between a cash transaction and a purchase?
Cash withdrawals etc vs buying from a store.
Thanks, so best avoided abroad then.
Is a strange way of wording or even offering free withdrawals instead of purchases. Unless it’s the clarity card that already offers fee free?
Is this the Clarity card?
No, just a standard Halifax credit card, used to be the flexicard I think, they changed it to a normal one a while ago. Only kept it as it’s still at 5.9% apr.
Not sure who’s spending 200k at hotels.com but ok ![]()
Haven’t got Lloyds so not sure how it works but if you’ve got to use their link for 5%, you miss out on 11% from TCB I’d assume. Might be worthwhile for merchants not on cashback sites.
What makes the marketing team at Lloyds to think it is okay to email customers about a product whose information is not in the email and not on the website or app too?
I have received an email about Lloyds 360 changing to premier after April 30 but clearly no info about the Premier, not even in the link on their site.
They could just keep quiet about it and send the email when the information is there.
Agreed, which makes me think that 360 will go with no replacement for a while after.
They’ve clearly said that premier will launch on the 30th and 360 won’t come back no?
Premier page seems to have been updated a bit. Still not much info but shows a card design on there Lloyds Bank - Internet Banking - Error
