That’s all it’s been with all the others, even when messaging Lloyds as the address didn’t exist on the Royal Mail database then.

It does now show when typing in postcode for almost anything else.

These choose to be difficult.

Imagine that in order to update your address every company needed to see a document from a different company which could only arrive through the post – you’d be stuck in some Kafka loop and it could never happen.

I’m glad they took my message as “no, just update my address”.

I never sent them anything and just received this, can confirm address has been updated.

Don’t forget to vote for Kroo in the British Bank awards. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Apparently the closing date is imminent.

You might say that, I couldn’t possibly comment.

I don’t want to lose my £1 though…

I received a random email from Kroo regarding a complaint I had opened with them a while back around the time my salary kept going under review. They did also deposit in ÂŁ100 which was unexpected as they accept the experience caused massive inconvenience!

I found this paragraph absolutely astonishing however;

  • Knowingly setting up scheduled payments on the same date that you receive your salary, when you have previously been informed that those funds may not always be available to you immediately, if they are held for a review (which can take up to 1 day), is a decision you made independently and a risk you considered. The Direct Debit was set up voluntarily after you were fully aware your salary payments are sometimes held for review.

So essentially, they are blaming me for trying to have my payments come out the same day as my salary.

I did however have a bit of an email conversation with the CEO who was actually extremely apologetic for my overall experience and reassured me there would be learnings from my experience.

I, personally have a few days grace period between salary and payments but each to their own, and something any real bank would have no problems with I’d imagine.

I still can’t believe they’re doubling down on the “we might hold your salary for review” mantra. Fair enough if you had irregular crypto payments or something.

But it’s a salary. They deserve to go bump this year.

Not sure if this has been covered, but the company you work for, what industry is it? And is it a big employer?

It’s telecoms and it’s a big company so I know for a fact it wouldn’t be because it’s unrecognisable!

What dreams are made of…. :joy::joy:

Real banks definitely do have issues with all the money going out by DD the same day it comes in. My uncle couldn’t get his head round why NatWest didn’t like it and then started restricting his account.

Can’t be that unusual to have direct debits go out on the 1st but also receiving salary on the 1st? I’ve had all my direct debits go out on the 1st which is the same day I get paid for years now (with first direct). I only have enough in the account to cover bills so I used to go overdrawn every month until I got paid later in the day, then eventually I seeded the total needed for the 1st of the month payments so it’d go down to £0 instead and then I’d get paid in evening.

That’s basically what happened to my uncle i.e. the money went out before it went in. They didn’t like it.

My Monzo account works exactly like this.

Zero issues each month :man_shrugging:

I had a NatWest account for years where my pay and direct debits used to happen on the same day. They never used to complain. I did have an overdraft but they never mentioned that it was used.

I’ve noticed quite a few employees of Kroo tagging them publically on LinkedIn mentioning that they’ve been made redundant.
Really hate to see things like this and I am sure those involved will find something soon.

But it does make me wonder the direction the bank is going in at the moment.

It depends what roles they’ve been made redundant from.

Could’ve over employed for specific roles, like product or regulatory.
