In all fairness it is good to se them starting to make substantial improvements to their app
If substantial improvements are also made to their overall processes and service they could be a very good contender!
I would be interested in their customer numbers. I tried their account early on and it seemed fine but I didnāt go as far as others, eg having your salary paid in or direct debts.
It looks quite similar to Revolut and Algbra, I wonder if theyāre all using the same core platform or banking as a service.
I know they are keen to shout about their environmental credentials but what else do they offer that makes them the bank you should be with?
4.35% interest and decent overdraft rate too.
But, as Ryan will tell you, thatās no use if you canāt get the money out.
Both of those are ok, but there are other banks who have better rates.
For a savings account, you can certainly do better, not on a current account.
I will definitely pass on this one.
Iāll give them Ā£0.10p
Theyāre still trying!
A fresh email this morning.
Pity that, as well as the Get Early Access button, there isnāt a āTotally not interestedā button too
There is. This labelled āUnsubscribeā at the bottom of the email.
Iām thinking of slinging in 200 quid and considering it lost⦠you never know! They may sort their act out regarding treatment of customers & the app.
Up to you, but youāde be better off with an investment if you have the ability to put it anywhere. At least with that the chance of getting a positive return is there, whereas with Kroo, almost certainly not.
Hmmm, I become an adult next Saturday (overnight, right?!)ā¦
Already dealing with customerās credit and things⦠now can actually hold credit/investment products.
I plan on getting a credit card that is setup to pay off in full on payday & using it as a debit card, to build history.
As for investments, how to do this? Or even begin researching it
Youāre with Monzo right? Thatās as good a place as any, but as @Rexx said maybe just build up a slush fund first using a savings account.
If youāre not even 18 yet build up your own reserve first and do investment later on in life.
If I was 18 again, I would invest but not in single stocks like Kroo, Monzo or Apple. I would save half for a reserve and then towards a house deposit and half in an ETF like Vanguard.
Yeah 10 shares which was Ā£22 or something with the fee. Wouldāve only put it on lottery this week tbh.

Ive never invested in anything so hey ho.
