Kroo Bank Chat

They didn’t even have the decency to send me an in app message like the advisor said they would, they just approved the payment and that was it.

Glad I have my wages now but overall a very poor experience, again!

That is abject and pretty concerning behaviour

What can also lead to a lot of confusion is when it was approved, it went into my transaction feed at the time it was actually sent into the account and not the time it was approved so one of my standing orders declined with due to an ‘unexpected error’ which was lack of funds at the time… but if you look at the statement it looks like there was enough funds in the account because my wage was technically in there.

The list of reasons not to use them is sadly, getting longer.

make sure you get them to sort out the issue with the standing order before you leave … def worth more than the £20 i got lol

Have done.
I’ve emailled them over the complaint as I genuinely feel the in-app chat would get me absolutely nowhere as previous message I sent at the end of January are still sitting in there with no reply as of yet.

Shame because I do think they have/had the potential!

yeah they looked good perhaps public launch was too soon and should have spent more time getting things ready , as it seems to have been issue after issue reported here

Very poor show. Don’t think I’ve ever had a this happen, I’d be pretty annoyed.

They should compensate fairly, or play the “it’s in the terms” card.

Wow that’s worrying! Does Kroo let you see BACs payments the day before like monzo and Starling so you know payment is waiting to be cleared? I closed my Kroo account after seeing the app…. Didn’t impress me

Nope it doesn’t sadly. Same with Direct Debits although if you go into scheduled it does tell you the date they are due and puts them in order of when they are due etc.

I would change back to using monzo as your main salary account haha

Kroo perplexes me.

Sure, I get it’s early days and MonzChaseling were all there once - but to launch in 2022 and have the expectation that things “will just be fine” given the heavily competitive scene in Fintech amazes me really.

I get that for some people they’ll be happy at the 3% and use the account no problems, but what are Kroo playing at.

It still seems to me that they’ve launched with whatever was built when they realised the social payments app was a non starter, and now don’t really know what to do.

I suspect so - It’s either that or go to bust - either way good luck getting money back if that happens.

Certainly braver than I to have salary paid into such a new platform

Ooh. That’s certainly taken the sting out of the massive wait.

If i look at it at 50p a day interest then £10 ain’t bad.

Its as if i had £6k sitting there from open i think.

£6000×.0303= £181.80

£181.80÷365 = ~ 50p

How/where are Kroo funded from? Just asking as I literally have no idea how its being bank rolled right now.
