Sure but Kroo is a new business which is well–reported to be swamped with applications because of the interest offered. And you’ve contributed to the delay for others, so I’m not sure of your point…?
Message to support to ask them to close my account, it’s taken that long to open that I’ve no longer got any use for it. I’ve opened alternatives since then, given I’d forgotten I’d even applied to open the account.
Maybe I’ll have to send them some smoke signals before they get to that message, the clocks ticking
Tbf doesn’t matter how long it takes them to respond though, it’ll get closed when it gets closed.
Sure I recall seeing something circa £25k for some of their customer roles a while back
Banking is alright for the most part. Depends really what you want to do.
I’m currently in fraud and much prefer collections and recoveries. A lot more fulfilling and rewarding.
I have broad customer facing experience, and it’s not uncommon for people to want to change careers which can be explained on any cover letter.
Customers can be your clients you’ve done work for, working for a bank doesn’t mean you need to be numerically advanced, the systems do any maths for you.
It’s all about the conversation. Fraud isn’t for me, but it’ll do until I can move back to collections.
Do you get to keep a percentage?
Just to carry on the off topic. I hope you read the conversations in full and don’t skim read
Nope it doesn’t work like that, not like it used to be for sure.
Work Carl is totally different Carl less text to get confused with.
To add to this. It’s all conversational.
Three weeks 2 days, and I’ve finally been approved for a Kroo account. That was a slog.
Can’t remember why I applied for it now!
Adjusting it to suit the employer IE changing the focus of it may improve your odds.
Bold to admit that publicly.
No worries here, nobody knows what company
I do wish it were
Card looks nice with the magenta/purple.
First card ive seen with dots to help with orientation.
Edit: a better pic
I agree, it’s a nice card.
First Direct, HSBC & Natwest have dots too. I think there must be a design standard in play?
I think i remember seeing mastercard went for cutouts on the side with smooth and jaggy.
Edit: not seen one in real life but theres meant to be this
That looks like NatWest
The HSBC dots have a purpose.
We’ve added raised dots to our cards to make it easier to tell them apart.
One dot at the top of the card = Debit card
Two dots at the top of the card = Credit card
One dot at the bottom of the card = Business card
The card looks nice and I guess I was fortunate as the application was instant. The app looks ok, although I was surprised that spending doesn’t show a map or details of the location. I know not all banking apps show a map but most these banks show the location in text.
Hearing some of the stories earlier in the thread I don’t know if I want to put a lot of money into the account yet.
They’re also offering overdrafts, the email and in app message suggest it’s been pre-approved if I choose to request it.
Maybe things will get better over time but I’m curious about how they will make money given the interest they’re offering on a startup
Another day, another Kroo update!
So I had missed the payroll cut off at my work when I decided to no longer use the account so had to have my wage paid into it this month.
Woke up this morning and there was no money there at all which was worrying. Spoke with my work who had confirmed it was sent and having worked there for many many years, knew that would be the case.
Spoke with Kroo on the phone this morning who advised it would need to be passed to the payments team as they don’t work on the phone as of yet.
An hour later, I get a notification stating the transaction review was completed and the wages went in… like a few posts in here already, they held my money in transaction for review and didn’t even tell me it was happening.
I do wonder what would have happened had I not phoned them!
what a nightmare , panic bells all over glad i closed my account with them now
