The Compare Membership page is giving me wicked Revolut vibes
Are you aware of whether there is an upper age limit (usually 70 elsewhere) for the travel insurance element of the Max plan.
If not, this Max plan could look a very attractive proposition.
Nationwide did away with the upper age limit on their FlexPlus insurance last year.
Thanks for that information and the link - I appreciate you taking the time to do that.
Iāve just had a good look through the policy documents.
I see that for car hire cover etc., then the Klarna card has to be used for the payment, which makes sense, but there doesnāt seem to be any similar wording for the general travel insurance.
Interesting that there are multiple mentions of being able to provide receipts and/or proof of ownership for any items etc., that are stolen.
Yeah you do need to make payment on the card. In most cases, youāll get additional Cashback from the card itself and the merchant for doing so.
I think proof of ownership is a very basic burden of proof in respect of an insurance claim. I donāt think itās unreasonable. I havenāt come across insurer that does not ask for proof of ownership before?
If you purchased the stolen item using the card, you can evidence it right there and reference the transaction.
Again, thank you.
Yes, youāre right a basic burden of proof for a claim isnāt unreasonable.
It was lazy wording on my part - I was going through a mental checklist of just how many items I no longer have receipts or proof of purchase of but there are fairly simple ways of getting round that,
first time reading about Klarna Max, very tempting
What is the dine in offer mentioned above? And does anybody have a referral they can DM?
With the £30.99 first three months which inc £15 mobile seems very reasonable
Posted it here but I will need to delete once youāve redeemed.
just realised Iāve already signed up to the app, have I missed the boat to redeem?
not if you havenāt signed up to the Klarna card. Just follow the link and see what happens
What is the £400 dine offer?
Where is this?
This
Canāt see it on the listed benefits though so wondering what it is
Itās an Amex offer not Klarna.
Iād rather see an outright ban. However, affordability checks, S75 and the right to complain to the Financial Ombudsman is better than nothing I suppose.
Personally, Iāve always kept to the rule that if I canāt afford something twice without taking on debt, then I canāt afford it once (excluding housing and transport).
Any debates around it making sense because itās 0% are just silly, and are nothing more than a cope. The big BNPL players are filthy firms that need to be consigned to history, in my view.
A good move by the FCA. Although it should have come much sooner.
Problem with this approach is something even worse will pop up. Remember all the payday loans they were effectively regulated out of existance then BNPL comes along. Much better to have real regulation, than a ban which will bring in the new pack of wolves
Thatās a good point. Agreed.
Although, a regulatory framework thatās able to react to industry changes within months rather than decades would also be useful for the consumer.
