It might be worth considering sending your partner a message with the amount & category and then her sending the payment using the in-app transfer feature. I guess that would be the ideal process for Monzo because Monzo.me costs Monzo money

Remember that between two Monzo users, Monzo.me links redirect in to the app and become regular internal Monzo payments.

So I looked at just sending a message outside of monzo app, but it would put more onus on the other person.
Looking at the options, i think using the monzo.me sequence is much simpler.
