Introducing Monzo Premium

-I actually agree with her it’s not worth more than £7.
-I’m already void on the health insurance due to my pre existing health condition
-Phone and gadget insurance is £0pm with instant replacements or 3 day repair
-Just doesn’t make sense to me

Now your post is a million times better. Constructive criticism is what everyone loves

The other user just drops ridiculous vague comments all over the forums and it’s now painting a picture that they’re doing it deliberately to provoke reactions - which isn’t nice.

Guessing I’m the other “user”

Yep. I replied to you.

Could you break down how you got to £7?

Can I also ask for clarification around the highlighted box on the PID sheet?

Isn’t this contradictory to the Coronavirus page / the full T’s and C’s themselves?

This part only being the case if this was known at the time of booking?

Hey Ben, I don’t think these are in conflict

The first step in any claim is chatting to Assurant before you do anything else. You can do this through their website or by phone.

You definitely shouldn’t just take your phone somewhere to get it repaired, but if you speak to Assurant they’ll be able to help you find the right way to fix your phone, including the option of an in-person repair.

This is just Monzo plus with a metal card and mobile and travel insurance…

Since having my joint account with my partner, I’ve actually barely used my personal account and the fact that plus and premium are only on individual just makes it less appealing to me to be honest.

I have plus at the moment but I’ve had it 3 months now so don’t think I’ll continue with it as I’m not using the nice features like custom categories, not even getting to show off the nice card because I’m always using my joint card

I actually much prefer the look of the holo Monzo Plus card to the new one, it has more character.

That being said, did I upgrade anyway?

Yes I did…

Goodbye my holographic blue friend. o7

Can you look into a wood option?

That looks tight. Plus you can throw it on a fire and say you’re burning money but without breaking the law.

If the Sim used in the phone is in your name that should be sufficient, you get a proof of usage from your network showing the phone imei, there’s going to be quite a few people getting a phone as a present or similar and won’t have proof of purchase.

How about something like £9 without insurances and if you want insurances it’s £15
(Just an example)

Think it would be nice to have the option to remove the insurance for a few quid just to get the metal card and other benefits

Just jumping in to point out that for those who are happy with Monzo Plus AND can maximise the interest rate offer, the additional cost to upgrade to Premium is around £8 per month.

Good spot! We’ve fixed that now, might take a few minutes to appear :clock1:

Yeah the offers will be nice especially if it’s at big shops such as this is probably a unrealistic example but if they gave 10% back on Amazon I’ll snap it up instantly as I use that daily.
Basically some good offers

The lounge discount doesn’t seem to be much of a discount at all. I am sure you could book them online for £25 pre-Covid.

Everyone is different and this isnt going to suit everyone, as we all value different things…

For me its simple.

Mobile Phone insurance on my Razr 5G - £15 p/m
Travel Insurance (Annual Policy) - £8 p.m
Fee Free withdrawals abroad - normally this would save me money as i work abroad a lot
Lounge Access - Where i don’t get access as per my BA FF Card - worth it to be able to work / chill out (but LoungeKey say £25 not £24) and its more a convenience and is on par with Priority Pass

So for me its actually a saving of £8 p/m (i said previously about a fiver).

It would be nice if there where more offers and something a bit different

Looks really good to me… Definitely worth it for the travel insurance and phone insurance, as it’s quite comprehensive given the circumstances so I’ll be signing up!

The metal card is also a nice little bonus too

Nice one Monzo!!
