Yep, you can have 100 per year, and 5 at any one time.
The original post claimed it had been changed… Was just curious what had been made
Agree, I’m unsure wether it’s for me yet, and a small tweak would make it so - but it seems on the face of it the cover offered is good, and for a competitive price.
Of course it won’t suit everyones needs, but it never will and never can.
I was trying to rack my brains to compare the three flavours of Plus we’ve had so far - need to dig all the info out - but it seems this package offers more than what was available in the last travel oriented version.
Interestingly though, aside from Pandemic cover, the travel insurance is near identical.
In my opinion not a good try to sell useless metal card.
No breakdown.
2 phone insurance claims per year no join account support.
1.5% maybe for someone
Not for me, but some guys will be happy with this offer. Not the worst on the market.
I like my Nationwide FlexPlus card. Family Phone insurance, breakdown…
I think two is fairly good, if you are claiming more than twice you need to think about how you are using it or maybe you are just very unlucky
Agree that it needs Breakdown cover to get me to move from Nationwide’s FlexPlus
I question the value of the travel insurance for single people like me… but I’ve signed up anyway.
Simply on the basis that I saw it, wanted it, signed up for it…
If this included breakdown cover, I’d be all for it and finally switch from Monzo Plus 1.0 because that’s something I would actually see value in and use - as it stands, I’m afraid there’s not enough features there for me outside of the want factor of the Metal card.
The retail ‘offers’ are just introductory offers that anyone can get regardless of having a Monzo account or not and including travel insurance during recent times as a headline feature is questionable at best.
The mobile phone insurance is great, but not something I’d personally use as I take good care of my devices. Good to have just in case though!
Also, what happened to offering the discounted electric vehicle charging that you guys liked so much? (Polar Plus, etc) - this will be a huge benefit as the world transitions over to EVs and sustainable transport and something it’d be nice to see Monzo promote.
I’m happy to pay £15-£20 per month for Monzo premium but only with breakdown cover…
Yes, but my kids phones are on my name
With Nationwide I’m able to claim…
Heavy because you’re staying put in the UK for a while? Sure. Lots of other people are travelling, so…
Will the phone insurance cover my Note 20 ultra imported from Hong Kong? I don’t think it will, I only saw the N986B on there, not N986O - it’s the same phone with a Snapdragon processor.
Thinking about it, I got it mainly for the phone Insurance, but Starling marketplace has the exact same (It look very similar (loss, damage, theft, etc)) for £9 a month. In all honesty, I barely even see, let alone touch my card.
I only saw this AFTER signing up, serves me right for not doing research before hand
Will the travel insurance cover the cost of a replacement metal card if lost or stolen ?
Is there a way to hide the annyoing “GET MONZO PREMIUM” blue button in the Monzo.app Home screen?
The worst part… currently with Monzo Plus and this banner with Premium upgrade… banner on paid account?!
Two is OK for a single handset. As all the phones in the household are covered with FlexPlus, that gives you a limit of four claims per year.
I have a OnePlus Nord. Which sadly isn’t on the list of OnePlus phones available to insure
There’s a list of phones they will insure?!
Odd, I wonder why
For 7 years with Nationwide I made 3 or 4 claims only. You are right. I just don’t like limits… just in case…
