Today I’m sharing an update on the Flex Credit Card.
Until now, our early Flex customers could use 0% interest over 3 months on purchases or transfers of any amount. We’re changing that, so only purchases and transfers of £100 or more will be eligible for 0% interest over 3 months.
We already rolled this out for newer Flex customers in August 2024, and now we’re doing the same for all our Flex customers.
Why are we making this change?
Our interest-free offer isn’t a time-limited introductory deal like other credit cards. We’re making this change so we can keep offering longer 0% options that don’t run out, which we know are most useful for bigger purchases, while keeping Flex sustainable.
What’s changing?
Only purchases and transfers of £100 or more will be eligible for 0% interest over 3 months.
We’re starting to roll this change slowly out over the next couple of months. We’ll give you 2 months notice before it comes into effect for you.
What’s not changing?
Any transactions made before the change kicks in will stay on their current plans.
You’ll still be able to pay for purchases under £100 over 3 months, but it won’t be interest free.
Paying in full on your next payment date will still be interest free.
What does this mean for you?
You don’t need to do anything. We’ll make the change automatically and send you an email and another reminder in the app before it kicks in. You can still pay for purchases and transfers of any amount over 3 months at 0% interest until the change comes into effect.
Your APR and credit limit will stay the same, and you’ll still get all the usual benefits like no fees abroad and real-time spend updates.
As usual, transfers from your Flex Credit Card to your Monzo debit card will have a 3% fee on top of the transaction amount. This will be added to the overall transaction cost before you choose how to pay.
As we told you a few months ago, we’re still exploring ways to extend our 0% interest offers for up to 12 months to make Flex work even better for bigger purchases. Excited to share our progress with you in the next few months ![]()

Not everyone will be eligible for Flex. We will run a soft credit search to assess if you’re eligible, and a hard search if you open Flex.

As a minimum, you’ll have to be over 18 and a UK resident, and you’ll need a Monzo current account to apply. Ts&Cs apply.
