Until I see it in a @davidwalton teardown, I don’t believe it.
It’s real*
Clues started appearing in the app code a month ago - see the highlights for Version 6.16.0
*Or a very elaborate hoax
I have it in my app
It’s not there for me either at the moment.
I have Monzo Split elsewhere in the app, but not in the Do More section either
Even stranger, I do have Monzo Split in the ‘Do More’ section but insurance is not there (yet)
I dont have Monzo Split or Contents Insurance… this is a bad April Fools joke.
Ok, my partner has it and the policy pricing is fiercely competitive.
I love how they call it a staggered roll-out and not a beta test.
As others have said - no buildings cover then I’m not interested. Also if you have a claim you want an easy claims process and not perceived difficulties.
I am looking forward to getting this in app as my current cover is expiring this month
Yeah 100%. Most Monzo products are just a bit more expensive than I would be happy to pay for. They really need to hire someone to do a better pricing job, to make them more competitive, or just competitive enough.
In my case, this policy seems to be pretty keenly priced. Looking forward to being able to renew shortly
Seems like a cool offering, Would check it out but I don’t have Monzo . Think I’d probably only go ahead with it if it offered building cover too.
I’ll be sure to try this out when my PolicyExpert expires next year
Finally got the option in-app
I don’t actually need it until September but that was hardly the point!
My dad uses NFU and on the two occasions he’s had to claim (one for a few hundred pounds within a week of going with them, and one claim in the several thousands a few years later) they were very good, no quibblimg at all.
When I got a quote though they were about 5 times what I’m paying with Churchill. Couldn’t thoil it. Though I’ve never tried to claim with Churchill so maybe if I did, I’d wish that I’d paid for NFU.
Yeah, the reviews for insurance companies are hard to trust. Especially when people only leave bad reviews as their claim gets denied mostly by no fault of the company.
NFU rarely decline to pay a claim. However, they are very expensive. One hopes to not claim on insurance therefore as good as they are, they can’t be justified on the premium against Churchill and others IMO.
