No, you can’t opt for the disabled persons railcard
I like to visit for a few days, but after that I’m desperate to get back to my rural peace and quiet!
I’m the opposite haha, once I’m away I itch to return.
No that’s fine I already but my disabled persons rail card but if it was going to make me a saving I’d of gone for it but it doesn’t
Unfortunately, I am guessing it will be a forced move so that it phases out naturally which is hugely disappointing. As others have said not sure why this needed to be a complete overhaul and re-brand of the existing tiers. An iterative upgrade was all that was necessary to improve on the current offerings. Fine get rid of the metal card because it’s expensive but don’t make customers pay more and remove features, seems backwards!
Like most things in life, it’s a challenge trying to please everyone and cater to each person’s circumstances but Premium felt like a good balance of value/perks, Max which seems to be the replacement is a downgrade for more money and offers that don’t hit a universal customer base.
I can only speak for myself but I’m quite happy with the new plans (I chose Perks). I needed to renew my railcard and I often pop to Greggs when travelling, so that easily covers the cost increase. The increased savings rate and credit tracking are significant enough to make the base cost feel worthwhile to me.
A couple of bug reports - I didn’t have time to read this whole thread so apologies if these have come up already!
First of all, on this screen (and after signing up, so I can still reproduce) tapping terms and conditions does nothing:
And second, while I’m sure this is slightly out of your hands it’s very unclear on this screen I won’t be billed £30 using a card on my account, and the discount is actually doing something:
Hope this helps! Keep up the good work.
That’s not what happened for me!
After applying the code the amount to pay showed as £0.00
Huh, odd! I was using the website on mobile for what it’s worth. It went through and confirmed I wasn’t charged at the end, so definitely worked.
That’s probably a fairly niche case!
My biggest dilemma now that I’ve moved from Plus to Extra (I never took a blue card)…
Do I change my app logo away from Plus, never to be able to change it back? Or do I keep it blue?
You’re probably not the only one.
You program for zero bugs, surely?
I didn’t expect that is NOT a programmers excuse.
I don’t program anything
Strictly speaking I wouldn’t see that as a bug but a niche use case. Monzo should certainly try to understand the many ways a user might do something but to dev for every use case almost certainly would introduce over production of features and complexity leading to…. more likelihood of bugs
Probably answered somewhere so apologies that I have missed it.
Active Premium Membership that not cancelling or changing to Max. When my metal Premium card expires in the future will I get a new metal premium card? Or will Monzo stop supplying those?
Only really upgraded to support Monzo / get the card, as many of the other benefits included with Amex Platinum. Though the Monzo phone Insurence is nice
I’d work on the assumption that the card won’t be replaced by another metal one. The first post says you can keep the metal card until it expires which infers they’re currently not going to replace those.
Feeling patriotic
Still gutted about losing my white metal card.
