So this is… Path? (remember that?) or … Peach was that the other one?
I’m in the midst of swithering shutting down my Facebook account, which means dropping Instagram and WhatsApp (the latter a real struggle) given how badly Facebook appears to be acting…
I don’t think I’ll be installing this any time soon…

I Love all the amazing theming options the app has!
I had both Path and Peach! Path never really took off for me but I loved Peach.
Isn’t this just facebook messenger, but for instagram?
Will be interesting to see if this manages to take off. Personally I can’t it working as a separate app. Instagram stories was successful because it was in-app - if users have to out of the app to send picture messages they might as well go to Snapchat where they will have all of their friends and snap-streaks (or whatever you call them - I don’t use it) already.
Edit - I suppose some might find the ‘auto status’ quite cool for tracking what their friends are up to. You have to give away SO much data though:
Threads will request your location, movement, battery level and network connection from your phone in order to determine what context to share. For example, Auto Status might use your precise location to show your friends that you’re “ At a cafe.” Or Auto Status might detect that you’re biking and set your status to “ On the Move.” Before this is enabled, you’ll be told what information Auto Status is requesting and will be asked to specifically agree. Auto Status will not share your precise location with your friends, and when Threads sends location information to our server to look up locations, it’s not stored there – this information is only stored on your device for a limited time. It is also deleted if you remove Threads.
Although apparently this is more or less the case already with Snapchat 
One thing I will say having just downloaded it is that Dark Mode looks great. Monzo take note 
Feels a little bit like Facebook are still bitter about the fact Snapchat turned down their $3 billion offer…

I just remembered that IGTV was a thing with a separate app. Maybe it still is. That one didn’t seem to take off…
Path got really big in some markets such as Indonesia! When I was there a few years ago many young people were using it in bars and nightclubs

I just seen someone post #ripTwitter and then air their Threads page.
Looks very Twitter like, no profile here as yet, but is it going to be the new trend? I seen Monzo post about it too (was confused until now).
