Create a little badge to show next to existing transactions which says “refunded” so it becomes easier to detect which exact transactions have been reversed.
You could search for the original transaction and therefore instantly find out whether it was refunded or not.
This would make it easier to track large numbers of refunds
How would that work if the refund comes from somewhere else i.e. Apple takes £1 but Apple Store refunds £1?
I’m afraid this is one of those where something that looks “easy” to build is actually really hard.
Once we have current accounts and total control of the payment cycle we’ll have far more visibility over refunds and finally we’ll be able to do this kind of cool stuff. Stay tuned
