No. I don’t think you get anything from HSBC to be honest

It does say how you can though.
There was a few posts on Reddit about this, though some were using debug mode.
They also complain and refuse to launch with the same screen if you use non big corporate keyboards, so need to change keyboard before launching the app. Still much less aggressive than what LBG do but a pain none the less!

I have debug mode on, and haven’t encountered that issue.
However it seems that the hsbc app may be down, as none of my accounts are showing up on the app

First Direct is also showing me errors when I tap onto my current or savings account.

If ever you needed a reason to not put all your eggs in one basket ie have one bank account, this is the one.

Also important that people pay attention to which banks are part of the same group. Although with some it is more obvious, I think many people won’t be really sure who owns First Direct

Not had any problems with FD today though
I use nationwide and monzo but have hsbc as spare so didn’t have anything in hsbc so it didn’t affect me
Don’t tell me. Loads of people needing to pay critical bills today, or no food in the house

That’s how it is with NatWest, too, via the Esso app. Deposit reserved, disappears the next day, then the actual amount appears the day after that.

I’ve never had this problem with Tesco machines? Takes £120, refunds the difference.
Though notifications do show the same for charge and refund, plus the actual which can be confusing.
Santander with Tesco, BP and Morrisons works well. Obviously they don’t have spend notifications, but the actual amount is what is shown on my account very shortly afterwards. Although when the debit card cashback is stopped, I’ll be using a different card
Any of the HSBC HK’rs had the issue where the Lion MC doesn’t show up in card section of the app?
Also seeing “We cant load your HK accounts” on the UK app when I try to transfer funds in, but it works viewing my UK accounts to transfer into from HK - just can’t do it the other way around
