I think they said they would send invites out in December so hopefully we’ll be able to test it before Christmas!

Someone posted a link a while back to join the new community. I joined that and one of the activities was to answer some questions and to indicate interest in testing the new app. It said there were limited spaces so not sure if that activity is still available or not.

:point_up_2:t2:

There’s two new activities:

  • What’s your view on instalment plans?
  • Help us name the new feature in our Rewards app!

Only after the first payment of a new DD has been made.

Any hints at what the updated app will be like? Is it a proper update like Santander or just a few small ones like Nationwide?

A while yet probably, it hasn’t been released to people who registered interested in testing it yet.

Another one may bite the dust. Bye bye HSBC Malta.

Saw your post today, went trawling through my unread emails and found the same offer from HSBC Premier MC CC, but with only £35 qualifying spend needed instead of your £180.
3000 points = £10 worth of Amazon/MS/JL/Tesco voucher so that would work out as a 28.5% cashback on £35 spend which does not seem too bad.

It’s coming in December

It’s almost certainly evolution rather than revolution.

I suspect it will have more quick action buttons like the payments screen company does.

I suspect this will be true. At a guess the ability to hide or reorder accounts and possibly slightly more enhanced insights.

To be honest I’m pretty happy with the current app. For me I’d only really want two things:

  • the ability to delete payees
  • the ability to exclude transactions from spend

I’m not happy that it doesn’t show pending transactions on the credit card. Hopefully this will change with the new app.

I think that’s going to require more than just a new app. Pending credit card transactions aren’t available via Open Banking, either.

I think I’m right in saying that HSBC pending credit card transactions are available to see in Apple Wallet - even when nothing is showing in the HSBC app.

Isn’t that just a list of transactions made via Apple Pay? Or do you mean when you’ve connected Wallet via Open Banking?

No it pulls all transactions - not just those using Apple Pay. For example - I can see upcoming payments for current account and pending for CC (even though they are not showing in the HSBC app)

I will use my CC today and see what happens.

Really? I will try this later too as I wasn’t aware this was possible

Now you’ve got me thinking I’m mistaken.
So apologise if I am - I will double check with a transaction todsy

Mine only shows actual Apple Pay transactions - I’ve used it a few times recently and they’re not appearing

Mine doesn’t either. It does, as the app does, show the credit available has reduced as expected.
