I don’t think the Monzo forum uses level 1 (or doesn’t use level 0, one of them)
The forum admins can set certain things to be available or not, etc. The ‘Poll Master’ Badge is a good example of this - that badge isn’t on every discourse-based forum, it’s a custom job.

I am collecting a fair few badges, but I don’t have that one yet as I haven’t even been a member for a year (and I won’t get it on my 1 year anniversary either as I have missed a handful of days, I think).

I got the “Leader” badge this week the same time as Coral Crew, so the latter is more a grouping of those given trust level 4 than a replacement. Monzo staff are also trust level 4, but they’re in a different group
Can 100% confirm that I volunteered and don’t get paid or told what to think by Monzo. Though that would have been nice obviously, haha

As someone who has been around as a customer for a long time, and therefore read posts on the community for some time too (including before I set up an account myself), I think it’s nice that so many people have been around for a while.
It makes it seem like a proper collection of like-minded individuals!
