I usually find this is the case, but I have noticed a bit of a decline since the Pandemic. This one was absolutely knackered, there was even blood on the ceiling in the entrance foyer. What a lovely welcome!

I’ve noticed a number of hotels really seem to have suffered since the pandemic though, you’re right.

I used my physical flex card to pay for excursions in Gran Canaria last week - worked as expected, although I couldn’t virtually flex via Apple Pay!

What happened? Did they not accept it, or did the card not work via Apple Pay?

Transaction failed at terminal - I made 8 flex transactions and tried to virtually flex with 3 of the merchants and all returned same error - transaction was declined/refused. My virtual Monzo+ debit card worked for Apple Pay and contactless transactions.

Could you DM me the email address you use with your Monzo account so we can take a look? Apple Pay should automatically update with the new card details, but it sounds like it hasn’t…

Has anyone else received an email like this.

I missed out first time round oin the trial and would very much like to get a Flex card sooner rather than later.

Is this the start of a wider roll-out?

For the people who are getting invites, did you sign up with the link at the top and just didn’t get one, or like me missed it completely before it was too late?

Are you getting the invite via e-mail or in-app, Android or iOS?
