Help us test physical Flex cards 👀

When will these physical cards be available for everyone? I completely missed the last-Friday deadline, and would love to give it a go!

It would be good if you could split a transaction when paying with Flex, before you have to choose an installment plan. I have just bought some tickets on Flex because I don’t have enough in my main account but one of the tickets is for someone else so I would like to bill split it and Flex the remainder.

Also, I’m sure someone else mentioned this, but it’s annoying that when the transfer goes from Flex to my main account when I pay it off, that the category is transfer and not the category assigned in Flex.

This may launch soon. There’s a new ‘experiment’ in the latest app version:

It’ll probably need switching on, server-side.

Oooooooh! Thanks :heart_eyes: it must be hard for the Monzo team as we all start suggesting the next improvements and I guess most stuff is already on their radar anyway but takes a bit of time.

Which… raises the large-object-in-the-room question of why you would produce a glow-in-the-dark credit card to pay for something in a darkened environment, the action of which makes you smile?

Loving my physical flex card and have been able to use it successfully.

Whilst ive been able to add to google wallet on my phone, im unable to verify adding my card onto my android wear os3 smartwatch (samsung galaxy watch 5).

I get as far as choose how youd like to verify and select use the monzo app and get a notification on my phone from the monzo app that says finish adding your card to google wallet however pressing it doesnt do anything.

It works fine adding my personal monzo and joint monzo cards onto my watch.

Had a bit of an odd thing today so got a new S23 Ultra and whilst the Flex card got added to the handset when i’ve tried to add it to Google Wallet on my watch it’s failing at the open your app to verify stage and I can’t add the card. It does say try phoning as well but not got the time to try that today.

Anyone ecountered similar?

It would be amazing if Monzo could add a feature - pay in full when you next get paid. I’m sure Monzo could invent a way to identify our salary (by selecting the company from a previous ‘paid in’) and then utilise Flex to give us this option. :slight_smile:

I spent some money in flex this weekend, mainly to try out the new card. Works a charm. Love the pay in full option. Great work gang x
