Get Paid Early - "When Will I Get Paid" Calculator

My wage didn’t show but this is the first month my pay was moved to Monzo. My pay slip says bacs payment but clearly not as it didn’t show up the day before and didn’t get the offer to be paid a day early but the day I officially get paid I did.

If you download your statement in CSV format from Monzo, it will say in there whether it was BACS or not.

You mentioned that this is the first month of your salary in Monzo, I was at a smaller company before and it wasn’t unusual to see the odd Faster Payment, either because they’d messed up the payroll or because you’d recently made a change.

I’ve said this before, but for decades my wage slips have shown BACS as the payment method but every payment has been made via Faster Payments. I might approach our friendly wage processor…

No need to do that - just look at the deposit transaction details. If it shows a history section at the bottom, it was made via Faster Payments. If no history, it was made via BACS

I know you’re right, but sometimes it does help the person asking the question to see the abbreviation ‘BACS’ listed next to the payment rather than having someone reply with the ‘secret code’ to determine whether it was Faster Payments or BACS and having to trust that they’re right, hence the suggestion. Would help if it just said at the bottom of the page though as it does for Faster Payments.

The other way to look at it is in the future - if you get an Activity feed entry showing an upcoming payment/deposit, it is BACS*. If the payment/deposit happens without notice, it was Faster Payments.

*Obvious too, but a good visual indicator of being able to claim a planned incoming BACS payment early

99.999% of the time you’re right.

But there may be the odd occasion where GPE just fails, or perhaps (especially right now) the activity item doesn’t appear because someone’s doing work on the new home screen and has broken it.

Unlikely I know, but not beyond possibility.

Edit - I’m actually going to edit/delete this. The comment was made in jest, but now I realise that they haven’t been around for a long while, it doesn’t sit well with me.

Yeah I just got this today lol gotta love Monzo :orange_heart: :jack_o_lantern:

We also need snowglobe (‘shake for snow’) to be re-enabled in December. When was the last time it worked - 2018? 2019?

It was a long time ago that’s for sure.

I had a quick search and I mentioned it hadn’t been available for a while back in 2021, so you can’t be far off with your prediction.

They need one for every month!

November - a guy figure and a match… or Houses of Parliament and a :bomb:

February - Cupid with and arrow

I can’t think of any other months

Hurrah! Thanks for pinning again @AlanDoe - apparently access got turned off at some point recently - not sure why. Hopefully corrected and fixed a broken formula!
