Emma Feedback Thread / Q&A

Ok, lets get a bit meta. Please vote for how many votes you would like in the soon-to-be-created poll (couple of posts back). I personally think it should be restricted to a low number to force people to vote for the ones they most want, but I’ll go with majority.

  • One
  • Two
  • Three
  • Four
  • Five
  • Unlimited

But success is binary for me - either Emma monitors all my accounts or it fails.

If you allow unlimited votes, the integrations that most people want will still rise to the top.

Maybe do a vote for the amount of votes you should include in the vote about how many votes should be in the vote?

This is awesome.

Here’s the poll! Please vote to help indicate which financial services the Monzo community would collectively most like to see Emma support.

Following community preference, vote on as many as you like. Your choices will be hidden to others.

The list is based on those financial institutions I cobbled together in an earlier post and some additional suggestions received via DM. There’s an “other” option at the end of the list in case what you want isn’t there. Virgin Money is not included in the list as Emma have announced it will be included soon.

This came up on another thread.

Just wondering how exactly Emma handles overdrafts. Does it always find them for all banks?

We handle overdraft for every bank, apart from Santander (or Natwest, I can’t remember). Just click on the account row, there are 3 dots top right, you can set your overdraft from there and are good to go.

I definitely did not set my overdrafts for Monzo and Starling.
Do you get the overdraft limit via the APIs, but maybe not for other banks?

Yeah, we get the limit for every bank apart from Santander.

What happened to Virgin money, it was days away a couple of weeks ago

We have both cards and savings ready. I think we’ll push them live over the weekend.

Predictions have taken quite some time and we are shipping them shortly in the testing groups.

ps: the logo is missing cause this is a dev environment. :joy:

After this, we are releasing pending transactions and multiple paydays.

Will the predictions come through TestFlight?

Yes, of course.

What’s the odds on getting student loan company integrated? And pensions, such as Scottish widows.

Still massively in favour of payday months being able to view old budgets.

SLC was one of our first thoughts, but we ditched this plan for a bit. At this point, integrations are not our focus.

In regards to this, we have just rolled out Virgin Money savings accounts and credit cards.

This is great, except it’s already bugging me for manual intervention to sync my account!
Is this a Salt Edge thing, as with Tesco?

If more accounts that are added have this, it’s going to be pretty tedious updating them all regularly :pensive:

Can you try to reimport the account via password and not pin?

Hi Edoardo! Do you never sleep?!

I added a savings account with password.
It’s asking for my place of birth, mother’s maiden name data every time
