Driving Lessons

Boy did I misread that. For a moment there I thought you were doing your best Derek Acorah.

Passed after 8 lessons, 1 minor on test, never driven a car before my first lesson

12 lessons, past theory first time and practical first time, 3 minors (no idea what they were, probably still can’t do them) :joy:

Indeed although, at least around me no one on motorbikes/scooters even has a license, they just do the driving round the cones thing, stick L plates on and that’s it.

No kids on cross bikes racing around the pavements and down alleyways? :open_mouth:

Reviving a very old thread I know but if anyone learnt to drive in/around London and would recommend their instructor/company, would be grateful for recommendations?

With London I would actually look at test centres and their availability and what people think of the location first then find an instructor who covers those areas (if you have your own car to do the test in that’s a little different).

Obviously don’t pick something that’s out of the way and tricky to arrange lessons for, but in my example I was near both the Morden and Croydon test centres. People in Croydon do not know how to drive, also there’s the awful Lombard Roundabout right outside the test centre so I did not want to take my test there so I had to make sure my instructor covered Morden.

I went with the AA, it was expensive, but I passed first time, one minor. My wife had a refresher recently with Wimbledon Driving School and was happy with them.
