Do most car rental companies in UK accept Monzo or it is still considered a prepaid card?

I recently tried one and i called them before and said that they do not accept Monzo any body had different experiences?

Never had this experience. How did they even know it was Monzo? MasterCard Debit is MasterCard Debit.

If the rental company accepts payments from Debit Card (Which most do) then Monzo Debit Card will work as any other UK Debit Card but some rental Companies insist on a credit card for the deposit amount so if that’s the case then Monzo is not a credit card.

I am sure you know Monzo is not a prepaid card and it’s a fully licenced bank with a normal debit card like any other high street bank.
