No it wasn’t be a council it was one of those private firms.
But I ignored all correspondence and then got a court letter. They were genuinely going to take me to court so I bit the bullet and set up a monthly direct debit to pay it off.

If it was a genuine Letter Before Claim and not one of their fake scary letters, then I can understand… But they’ve been using scary looking letters to get you to pay out of fear! They need to stop with their cowboy ways and make it fairer.

Yea I’ve ignored those letters in the past but this time there was no chance.
A girl at work used to work for a company such as them and she was shocked that they were sending it to me. But as she pointed out, if I had lost I would have had to pay court fees as well.
