I am travelling to Brazil next week and planning to only use my monzo card, and some British pounds to exchange there, if there is a need.
But i am a little concerned about the currency exchange for using the card. Is there a site i can go or get some info on this through here?

If you withdraw more than £200 in a month the fee is 3%.
The £200 in the month is without a fee
just the mastercard rate, nothing extra for card payments

Hi everyone. So the last message on this forum was posted on November 2020. I will be in Brazil in November. So, is there any updates? Does monzo work properly? I will come from UK. I have UK monzo.
Thank you so much for your feedback about your experience. I have noted down. I will go there and a loca friend who can speak English will pick me up in Sao Paulo. But even her credit card was cloned once. What should we do for our cards not to get cloned?

It’s impossible to avoid the risk completely. Broadly, make sure mag strip cash withdrawals is disabled unless you need it. Avoid cash machines where you can. Conceal your pin when you enter it. Store the card securely. And all the normal things really.
Watch your notifications and if you get any suspicious transactions freeze your card and report immediately. Remember it’s the bank’s responsibility to pay you back for these as long as you haven’t been grossly negligent with you card details, so don’t be negligent at all and you will be okay!

I always have a Brazilian friend who will pick me up from airport and she speaks English quite well. I appreciate you all guys. Unfortunately revolut shut my account down without any notification i don’t know why. I try to open but it doesn’t accept my phone number and the customer service doesn’t call me although i emailed them and i was told they would have called. We will see.
