Collected Thoughts on Card Design (Part 2)

Lloyds Savings Cashpoint/ATM card.

Can’t work out if I love this or if it’s a little too loud. The colour clash is daring.

Anyway I’m sure it will be appreciated here.

I actually like the colour clash. I’m r/g colour blind though so maybe it looks better to me than others.

The jade green feels like a Lloyds chequebook from the late 80s.

I love that green. I much prefer the Lloyds font on yours though. I don’t dislike the current Lloyds font but it will age (badly) very quickly. It’s too fashionable as opposed to timeless.

Here is the limited edition US Amex Platinum card design which is part of the Platinum refresh, it has a mirrored finish.

Signed up to Revolute and paid £9.99 for the card design. Loved the rainbow card design but wasn’t gonna pay £50 for it (I would if I was using Revolute as my main bank but Monzo is still the clear winner in that)

Rainbow card is £9.99, chrome metal is £50

Yeah it was the metal one that changes colour depending on the surrounds or something. The normal plastic rainbow wasn’t anything exciting lol

Pride card - £9.99

Chrome - £50

Chrome card is really nice

If the card is ‘limited edition‘ does that mean that you get the same design when it is renewed? I’ve heard with the red and yellow cards for example that you still do.

Depends on stock levels. Neon cards at monzo were limited edition and they run out fairly quick.

Highly doubt you’d get another one when it comes to renewal. Limited edition just means exactly that.

Got to say they are really nice looking cards!

Got to admit I liked the look of it and got myself one too :slightly_smiling_face:

The card colour doesn’t really match how it appears in app or on Apple Pay, it’s darker, more of a deep Navy Blue. There is a bit of a ‘granny sheen’ on it :joy: - but that only really shows up under bright artificial light, not under sunlight where it appears more of a matt effect.

I think the quality is much better than the previous ‘Premium’ cards, the Revolut logo is tactile, like it’s ‘stamped’ into the card and it just feels better in the hand than the previous versions for that tier.

Got to admit I’m curious about the ‘Premier’ wording though - what type of account is that linked to? Maybe the Premium accounts are getting a rebrand? As that isn’t printed on mine:

I think the person above added it by ‘designing’ their card
