I absolutely hammered my free HSBC student railcard in the late 90s. One of my friends got a terrible prepay Philips phone from Barclays.

Lot of things like that didn’t make It to NI. HSBC didn’t open here til 20-ish years ago and, as y’all know, Ulster Bank even now is a backward version of NatWest. In fact, HSBC despite operating here turned my little guy down for the student freebies simply because he lives in NI (they said they couldn’t offer them due to differences in the gambling laws).
Still, he did get the HSBC card which in turn started him off on his bank switching journey

I’m more surprised Monzo hasn’t decided to go portrait with their designs. Only banks I can think of that are still landscape are Nationwide, First Direct, Monzo, and Barclays.

Just got the supplementary user’s Platinum card and the black bits (embossed?) are a bit green now. I think they’re running out of the black ink because my card’s blacker than the one I just got.
The name also has a lot of brown spots if you view it from different angles.

Looking at the bank of scotland designs, there’s one with Kilt Rock labelled “Classic Credit”. Does anyone know whether this is actually available? They don’t have an obvious list of all available credit cards anywhere, and the ones offered to me on their checker all seem to be the Platinum Credit standing-stones design.
How long did you have this before your card actually appeared? I had the email yesterday confirming my Child & Co. branded account was opened and it appeared below my recently-opened RBS Select account in the app, but still no debit card showing for this account.
With the greatest respect, this is the card design thread. Please can everyone take their “when will my such and such arrive” questions to the respective bank’s thread, where you may find some answers as it’s all being asked over and over again at the moment, for some reason.

Updated, from what?
I assume the previous landscape square based design, although for me, I’ve had the updated design for a few weeks in both Google and Samsung Pay.
Someone else had diamonds on their card as well. Apparently it was just a normal current account.

can confirm for anyone interested the Bank of Scotland silver account card is just the normal design ie same as classic.
Not sure anyone’s posted this one yet?
Card can’t be added to Apple Pay.
