I’m sure they don’t see the lender name, just that you have X credit cards, X loans, X mortgages etc.
I’m confident this is the case lender to lender, but other checks such as employment checks etc I’ve seen the reports and seen lender names.
I just find that an odd paring. After the initial offer FD don’t seem to ever offer anything else in their card so some rewards and easier rewards to use perhaps sounds good, but the brand they are connecting with doesn’t exactly strike as the same as the demographic they aim at.
(Although their marketing over the past 12 months or so who knows what that is now)
Yes, you see the lenders on your credit reports. Anybody running a credit check on you doesn’t see the other lender names, just the amounts.
Polite suggestion to transfer any further conversation about Yonder and first direct to, say, the fd thread, and likewise any more chat about credit reports…
I was referring to employment check companies who can see lender names on their reports, and balances and payment history.
now if only they could change the debit card too…
Received my Zing card this morning. I like it! I thought it was going to be florescent green but they’ve toned it down a lot making it black/grey, with holographic logo etc.
Weirdly it was sent via airmail from Frankfurt?
Yeah same as mine.
Anyone spent by Zing yet? How’s the notifications etc handled? Better than hsbc layout hopefully.
Likely explains why mine hasn’t arrived as yet.
I haven’t tried it yet, but intend to test it later this week in Paris against the Global Money Card - which is still blank in my Apple Pay!
You say that, but sister brand RBS has had a re-redesign in that same period!
I’ll hijack this because I’m not sure what other topic it falls into without asking all individually.
Is it only monzo, starling and NatWest group banks* that have dark mode?
I know there’s a lot of card folk here so probably best place to ask
*banks explicitly, revolut etc do have dark mode but looking for a bank that offers it.
I have most mainstream banking apps sans TSB and Santander, and it’s only Monzo and NWG for me.
first direct doesn’t count as the branding is black but the blank space is still white. I’d have thought theirs would be the easiest to do lol.
I’d love fd to reverse the colours.
I struggle on white background, lots of text, words jumping about.
Chase would also be good if they give dark mode
If you use FD chat whilst in dark mode (ie my phone’s dark mode not FD dark mode which they don’t have anyway) you can’t see any type in the typing field. Took me ages to realise to turn dark mode off in order to type & see the text.
Yeah I’ve raised with them before but they don’t care.
