Chase UK Chat (Part 2)

Maybe something I have missed, but the Chase App has been updated, and i was just going through it and there is an option to do a money transfer on the Chase Credit card. Don’t remember that being an option before.

Edit: it says balance transfer so assume it’s to transfer the balance. Just never seen that option before.

Money transfer? Like they transfer the balance to your current account?

correct

Where do you see this? I only see the option to see details to do an outgoing balance transfer.

I’ve got the latest app version, which is 2.71.1

If you go and click on the Credit Card > See details > then you’ll see ‘Making a balance transfer from Chase’.

I could be wrong with money transfer. It’s says balance transfer, so assume it’s to transfer the balance. Just never seen the option before.

Does the option just bring up your card number and balance to move out? Or a ref number?

Oh, yeah that’s to do an external balance transfer form your Chase card to another card.

A money transfer would be Chase lending you money via the credit card, which isn’t what this is.

Yeah it’s just the internal card details you’d enter into the bank you’re transferring the balance to.

Oh OK. Thanks for clarifying. I’ve just never seen the option (external balance) before on the app (but then it may of always been there and I’ve just never noticed it).

Does anyone have the £50 referral for new customers?

I don’t have the option and my missus wants to sign up for the increased saver account for a year.

Nice £50 in it for you.

I have it.

If you can spare a code, mind DMing it to me?

We can’t dm here any more.

Sorry, without DM I don’t know any way of sending it.

Well that’s just silly.

So got the email that my boosted saver rate will finish in two weeks. From 4.3% to 2.5%.

Does the same trick as before of closing the saver account and opening a new one will work to get the boosted rate?

If not then I’ll need somewhere else to park some money

Hasn’t for me :frowning:

wife just signed up to a £50 referral and the boosted rate for 12 months as a new customer.

Chase really are about getting people through the door only.
