I know. Hanging on in hope as otherwise I really like the app.
With 2 DDs that pays you interest (just 1.5% though) as well as free overseas use from April. Free if you put in £2000/month. Free Disney+ too.
On the cashback front, am I right in thinking that the RBS/Natwest reward account essentially pays you £3/month if you have 2 DDs and use the app, and you’d also get their rewards credit card thrown in free too?
No point. I imagine that just about everyone on here already has Revolut.
It was posted in the Revolut thread too. Oh the cheek.
Correct and correct.
How do I move. Or can someone?
Quickest way would be to delete your existing two posts and repost one in the Referral Wiki:
Ta.
Time to switch back to using Amex full time I think. 0.5% cashback sucks but at least it’s consistent.
Reddit doesnt seem too happy (multiple threads but)

The only issue with taking cash out abroad is the potential fee’s (europe for example) that the ATM charges because its a foreign card.
I personally have not taken cash out abroad in over 10 years, I usually get a bit of slush cash changed before going and 99/100 times I just use a card straight.
Never saw a notice about this planned work all day to let me know it was coming.
I know it happens with other banks but I did expect a notice today to let me know. I can’t recall the last time Monzo had scheduled maintenance or really much of an outage.
They’re doing away with the weekend fee from April on premium and above plans if that changes anything for you
For most people it’s pennies really, not going to break the bank.
It generally is, but if you want to avoid it, there’s Bankera.
Worth noting that it’s not always pennies. £7 a time in Czech Republic.
Really? I never got charged anything like that whenever I’ve been there.
TBF I rarely take cash out abroad.
Monzo have an allowance for free cash abroad, and Starling has no fees at all.
I think there is a bit of a danger of throwing the baby out with the bath water here.
I might be an exception to the rule, but a decent amount of my regular spend is in supermarkets (food, household toiletries etc, all adds up). I admit my average Apple invoice is higher than my average Tesco shop, but they occur a lot less often. Given the account is free, I’m not really sure it’s a major hassle to keep it open with a standing order moving the money over.
Looking at the other options for cashback:
Free AmEx only offers the same 1% after £10k and there are still some limits on acceptance.
NatWest rewards offers a similar proposition 1% back on supermarket spend. Yes you get 0.25% elsewhere, but that is a pretty low rate.
Santander Edge requires £3 monthly fee for cashback of only 1%.
Most other cashback cards are 0.25%
I wasn’t aware the Santander Edge current account gave cashback on debit card transactions. But then I don’t pay the fee, so don’t get any cashback on that account anyway. It is purely for access to their 7% savings account, now 6%.
