Anyone had any luck trying to rejoin chase ? Biggest regret was closing my account

Yessss, thanks, that’s what it is. Heating oil order, doesn’t settle until they key in the actual amount they filled up.

Rejoin Chase? You’ve as much chance of that as Monzo floating on the market.

Anyone noticed this change on Chase apple pay? I don’t remember seeing the word ‘‘debit’’ before on the apple pay for my chase debit card. Maybe an indication that the Chase credit card is coming soon?

I Believe it has been like that for about 2 months or so. You just need to re add it to Apple and / or Google Pay and then the new design shows up.

But 100% I think the reason that “Debit” is now on the card is them getting ready for the Credit Card to be launched.

Chase the last few weeks have been updating this automatically.

Logged back into chase and found £10 in there, tried to send to Monzo and they froze my entire account insisting I call them to ensure I’m not being scammed

Was this an account you have transfered in/out before and was it in your name?

I’ve also only ever had one payment disputed from Chase, not to Monzo but to Amex. Made large and small transfers to various accounts in my name and they’ve been fine.

Yes, I transferred in and out a few times before as I was using it for holiday spending, a few hundred £ atleast. I left a bit in there for easyJet payments but it was less than I thought it’d be so had an odd £10 left to send out

Eep doesnt bode well for me moving my money out when the bonus ends.

Got my email saying my bonus ends on the 4th of Novemember dropping to 3.75%, lets hope moving the bit of savings out doesnt cause my account to get locked.

I’ve just moved mine to Tandem at 4.65% because I was getting sick of withdrawals being blocked. Surprisingly it wasn’t blocked (and it was close to the daily transfer limit).

I had that problem with Virgin Money, and to make it worse

  1. The ‘fraud’ department closes (or did) at 7 pm, so you had to sweat on it overnight.
  2. If you did not contact them (about a notified transaction query) within a certain timeframe, notwithstanding that they were unavailable for 12 hours, they actually locked the account, so that you could not transact anything whatsoever.
  3. Getting them to unlock the account was a real ball-ache. The fact that you had a history of such transfers counted for nothing - the process was obviously purely algorithm driven.

I understood perfectly well why they were being flagged, but please don’t make it so difficult to resolve.

I think snubbing a rate of £80 an hour isn’t a great look. That is MASSIVE to a lot of people.
