It was alright until thousands jumped on the £20 :joy:

They’re going to lose all the people they gained with the £20 at this rate.

I’m trying to squeeze comp out of them. Could be a bonanza if they get desperate…

If it affects people they will leave. Simple business really.

… For anyone curious, Chase works on the latest Android 13 beta.

Works fine ios16 here :worried:

:eyes: I feel attacked.

I didn’t realise the £20 would go into a separate pot, so I tried to pay for something and it declined. Probably my fault for not reading or something, but I’ve moved the cash back to Monzo and haven’t touched Chase since, especially with all the issues I’ve been reading here.

There absolutely are issues, it’s undeniable.

It’s the extent to which people have had an issue with their day to day banking. I haven’t had any, similar to my time with Monzo. Without the notices I wouldn’t have had any clue.

For me, they are on a personal level as bad as Monzo. On a structural level I find it hard to deny though.

It’s a reward so it goes into your rewards. That would have taken a cursory glance at the app :joy: I don’t think many banks transfer rewards directly to you right away. NatWest take you out of their app and you wait days for the reward to transfer.

I’ve found the app VERY slow and the list of transactions on the main screen needing manual updating by pulling the “all activity” page down.

I’ve also found not having a card number in the card annoying as I can never seen to do the right action from the homepage to open the card options and trying to pay in an app is horrible as you keep having to switch apps to see the details. I negated any security plusses as I kept a card with the numbers on it with the card because of this.

Yeah, I was kind of already on the shop floor and about to pay, then remembered I could transfer to Chase and get the bonus as I hadn’t done it yet, so I was definitely rushing and not paying enough attention. PICNIC.

I’m not too fussed though, my initial plan was to use AMEX for my GBP spending, and Chase for my EUR spending, especially work expenses - but I’ve just got myself a corporate card instead.

This was always a mare.

I thought this was just me! Can’t seem to use the little drag bar properly at all - takes a few attempts. I’d rather just have another icon at the bottom. It feels overengineered, but then, do does a lot of fintech…

Switch bonuses do generally yes, but this was a reward you had to sign up to, like any other reward bank you don’t get it paid directly.

Off the top of my head Amex do but that’s not a bank account. Others put the reward into a separate reward account and you transfer across.

If you tap the blue card the top area expands. No need to drag the bar.

Noticed they’ve updated the app today to add a brief ‘intro’ walkthru to people getting a new account (how to find your details, how to add a new payee, how to setup new savings/bills/spending accounts).

Got this message from them a couple of days ago.

These things happen, and the new card is here, but I can’t ignore this being yet another reason for me personally to question whether to trust them with my money…

Have you had any problems with it?

I wonder what’s wrong and how many people will get the same message.

One thing I would say is it’s good to be proactive with it. They could easily ignore it and wait for you to complain if you had an issue and then replace it.

I have no idea. I was away when card one arrived so I never got to use it. By the time I was back I already had the text and card two arrived the next day.
