Are you ready for an electric car?

Exactly, your range. Your previous post was pretty much just calling me a liar and kind of saying that anyone with an EV knows better even though any map showing where they are confirms what I stated.

Anyhoo I am finished with this thread. Shame my simple comment just got poked at endlessly.

For those that are interested in moving to electric there is good news.
Both EDF Energy and Legal & General have acquired a majority stake in PodPoint, a leading charging company.
This means that PodPoint chargers will increase their presence in stores like Lidl and Tesco and elsewhere at a much faster rate and it will also open up the possibility of new charge points appearing on many of the properties in the Legal & General portfolio.
EDF are already offering a special rate of 8p/Kw to customers that own electric cars.

Ordered a Nissan Leaf 40kw Tekna over the weekend as Nissan had their red tag event giving an extra Ā£500 deposit contribution along with free cleaning kit. Was worried the Ā£3,500 ev grant would be ending next month and wasn’t prepared to miss out. Just waiting on being approved for the finance but fingers crossed! :crossed_fingers:

I’ve just had a hybrid delivered as the electric option was too expensive and the battery range was too restrictive. I’d definitely like to move to fully electric but either the range or charging availability/speed would need to improve first. Maybe next time.

Congratulations

Great car and I know you will never look back.

Are you able to take advantage of the government charge point offer ?

Thank you! Yes definitely - looking forward to Carplay and the 360 camera. Went in originally going to get an N-Connecta in white although they had none in stock and the wait time was a couple of months! So I decided to go for the Tekna and the guy managed to play with the annual mileage etc and it was only Ā£30 more a month. Can’t complain at that!

And are you able to install a home charger ?

Having used CarPlay on several rental cars, I wouldn’t buy a new car without it. :+1:

We already have a Zappi as my Dad recently just got an E-Golf however I’ll be saving my home charger discount for when me and my partner buy a house together!

I second that :+1:
For me the same applies to an HUD. Head Up
Display.

Is there not a time limit on the claim ?

Nope! Once you’ve purchased a car the discount is tied to the order of the car and lasts until you utilise it.

It’s been a few days of waiting and the person at the dealer said they’ve never seen the process take this long but I’ve finally been accepted for finance! :tada:

Just need to give 2 letters with proof of address and I’ll be all set for picking up my Tekna!
